Chain of Thankfulness

By ramona

Chain of Thankfulness

This is really simple. One year just before Christmas my family was feeling very sorry for itself. We knew there were lots of wonderful things in our lives, we'd just forgotten what they were. I cut strips out of construction paper and each of us wrote one thing we were thankful for on our strip. Then we put them together to form the links of a chain. We did that everyday until Christmas Eve when it was quite long. We hung it on the tree as part of our decorations and every year since then we pull it out and reread it just to remind ourselves just how lucky we are.
