Keeping Terriers away from Trees

Keeping Terriers away from Trees

This year, puppy makes three terriers in this household and anyone who has terriers knows that they aren't in this world to appease humans! The word no just means that you've got an attitude problem. I had discovered some years back, though, that my first two dogs didn't like the sound of bells ringing and that gave me the idea of placing bells on the bottom branches of the Christmas tree. Lo and behold, those bells kept it safe even during their high speed chases around the livingroom, where it was quite common for them to grab just about anything as they raced by. A friend mentioned to me that she adds citrus peels to the lower ornaments as her dogs don't like citrus! If bells or citrus peels don't work with your dog, give some thought as to what his/her "pet peeves" are and try them. Eventually you'll find something that works!
